This is John here. I'm taking over since I had some posts ideas that the previous government didn't feel like posting.
To start with, have you ever noticied how prevalent lions are in Europe? Have you ever seen a lion in Europe? Maybe in a zoo or the circus, but how many lions were roaming around in the woods that made people think we should have a lion in our coat of arms?


























Along the same line, the last fountain is supposed to be a dolphin. Does anyone really think this guy ever saw a dolphin if this was what he thought they looked like. Now granted, some one like Albrecht Durer managed to do some marvelous work on a rhinoceros that he had never seen. But in general, maybe we ought to stick to what we know.
