As with any tourist city, there were a lot of tourist stores in Venice. Most of them had glass and masks for sale. A lot of the glass was from one the islands called Murano. I doubt it all was. The nice stores had a variety of jewelry (bought two necklaces for friends and a pair of earrings for myself), vases, plates, picture frames, lamps and chandeliers. We really liked the lamps but they were too difficult to get home and too expensive. Besides, we don't have a place to hang a lamp.
Mask stores were also quite common. Inside some shops were people painting them. That was interesting to see. The masks are so popular because of Carnival I think.
